About us
Boom is a campaign founded by us, Anvar Sarygulov and Phoebe Arslanagic-Little.
We met as colleagues in a Westminster think tank where Anvar was Head of Research and Phoebe was Senior Research Fellow in social policy. Together, we published a wide range of research, including on social security, the future of work, and citizenship reform.
We launched Boom to build the case for a UK where it is easier to choose to have children for everyone, because that's good for us all, socially and economically.
Our articles and commentary have appeared in a range of outlets including The Times, i newspaper, Unherd, LBC, BBC News, and Times Radio. Phoebe is also the Chair and Co-Founder of WiTT, the Women in Think Tanks Forum, a network for all women in policy.
Outside of Boom, Anvar works on welfare research and policy and Phoebe is Head of the New Deal for Parents at the think tank Onward.
